SU..SU..SUDHI VATHMEEKAM ..A SMILE ON EVERYONE'S FACE WITH ITS INSPIRING TALE.

When you point out the dark shades in an individual's character ,everything ends up in a total mess,well Su..Su..Sudhi Vathmeekam is the movie that will take you away to brush upon the different colours of LIFE..!!!! Sudhi Vathmeekam who is a unlucky person finds himself that he is having a speech impairment in word stabbing problem from his childhood.During his adulthood times ,the issue gets worsen and had to face the inability on the paths of his different parts of his life through love,friendship,marriage and career until the arrival of a speech therapist Kalyani takes into the tracks.
PERFORMANCES
Talented actor Jayasurya and materialized film maker Ranjith Shankar's second collaboration after the hit Punyalan Agarbathees have joined hands for movie with magnetic effects in which they had also done the production works on the banner Dreams Beyond.Mukesh,Aju Varghese,Sunil Sughadha,Muthumani,Irshad and the female leads Swathy Narayanan & Shivadha Nair had given their notable performances in unforgettable scales but the real performer and the shows stealer is none other than Jayasurya with his challenging and auratic acting charisma by playing the shades of Sudhi Vathmeekam and the surprising elements you see in his acting is when you see the differences in his word stabbing variations on the ages from 20s to 40s,it turns out to be the amazing avatar he played so far.In short the best character role he played throughout in his acting career.
DIRECTION
Right from his debut movie Passenger,Ranjith Shankar had managed to keep his directer graph steady with some decent outings.Last year with his first cooperation with the Mega Star has given the ability in treating the feel good movie with the well crafted narration. Ranjith Shankar had once again proved that films are not made for just entertainment but to teach,tell and motivate you.
MUSIC AND CINEMATOGRAPHY
The energizing musical score from Bijipal is another factor which glues you to the movie ,especially the Kayampoo song when it starts with the changes on the character is one soothing effect you see in frames.Coming to the pleasing cinematography done by Vinod Illampili had delivered his cool works with great light effect and the simple shots he toned was another eye catchy element.
CRITICAL VERDICT
So gearing onto the conclusions what I feel to tell is get into the movie of reality where you overcome the difficulties by giving time on yourself by trying it again and again .another beautiful movie of 2015 to capture your hearts so get your tickets to watch Sudhi from your nearest cine screens..!!!!!

MOVIE BOX_THOONGAVANAM

THOONGAVANAM ..THE SILENT PARK WITH  PRETTY,STYLISH ENGAGING ELEMENTS

Thoongavanam packed with the National Award Winners Kamalhaasan and Prakash Raj energizing the pulp with the shades of Face to Face bonding .Kamalhaasan had always amazed with the characters he had played and he is back with the cop roles after the celebrated police officers from Vettayad Vilayadu,Kuruthi Punal & Kakki Chattai .CK Diwakar who had shades at first stealing the drugs from the mafia for a whooping sum of money and later getting dragged to the night club for lending the drug bag in exchange with his kidnapped son.A simple plot but made in international standards with all bangs and gun shots placed in the appropriate terms.


The movie which is being co produced and written by Kamal himself was the official remake of the 2011 French Action thriller Sleepless Nights .The speedy thriller consists of other leading casts  Thrisha,Kishore,Sampath,Madhu Shalini and Asha Sharath ,all of them had given their performances in a very fair manner.Although there are repeatitve moments in the movie the jaw breaking action sequences makes the viewer deviate from the loose feels on the movie. Sanu John Varghese who had earlier show cased his visual magic through Kamalhaasan's Viswaroopam ,had given another quick movements in his cinematography and also by the cuts given by Shan Mohammed  and the thrilling factors takes place when the OST track by Gibran gets played in the thrilling moments .it is shocking to see the 61 year old Kamalji doing the breath taking actions at ease manner at his age limits and the cool entry in the climax brings goose bumps all over

Empty your minds be formless,shapeless like water .If you put water into the cup it becomes the cup.Everyone loves the qute and if there is anyone likethe quote without doubts you can bisect your perpendicular lines on none other than the ULAGANAYAKAN  and another meaty role that is being played with him was his son Vasu with some wits and some strong emotions on the spaces.

On the whole Thoongavanam looks to be a long night, is  a happening one in one's life.

MOVIE BOX_LOHAM

LOHAM..... MASS OR CLASS ?????

Well the movie is a key opener with all intentions to showcase the inner world of the gold smuggling to the audience,but the cheesy things took place by the story-line which went too simple and highly predictable one except for the interval punch. Loham fails to be the Onam Winner,it neither gives anything special about the new plot nor explores the commercial flavors which we expect in a Ranjith movie that has the typical mass appeal.

As I siad,the gold smuggling oriented flick was quite a news in  a few months back and it is still believed we hear stories of some elements even today.When one deals with one such operation where a group of people are conducting the secret operation to smuggle gold with the help of some people in the authorities for many political and non-political purposes.But some other gang gets into the business which causes total destruction to the whole plan.How it causes problems and what closing factor takes place under the gold chase is what Ranjith's Loham talks about.

The sort of Mohanlal in his simplistic act keeps things moving in the first halfbut the second half of movie turned predictable & some portions dull..With all respect and love towards the living legend,I feel like saying that this movie doesn't give that much space to the Complete Actor to explore his mass avatar as he has given many movies with all goosebumps in the typical mass avatars..Even after the epic mustache twirling look also,the sort of fun one can expect in such kind of movie doesn't hit the bull's eye.
Loham in its tagline ,the Yellow Metal is by no means a rank disappointment but it wasn't taken to the expectation level with the colossal and it might prove its stand in the box office ringers .Loham is not among the best works of Ranjith,it will be a comfortable one time watch for those who say 'Watching Mohanlal is enough for me'

MOVIE BOX_NEE-NA

NEENA....... A TALE OF TWO WOMEN ....A REAL ATTITUDE OF TODAY'S WOMANHOOD....


A complex tale of emotional interplays ,that is Neena. Neena is actually tagged as a female oriented film with a message to convey in promotions .It is a film that starts up with a crafted manner and ends up in the tip of an iceberg.It does convey a message ,albeit in a bit of didactic manner but the female oriented one was surely termed as a hogwash state ,since the perception is absolutely male.Nee-Na is a detour from the kind of films that we see around and Lal Jose had succeeded in telling a triangular tale of 3 persons in showcasing a way of live,not much explored in Malayalam Cinema.Through this flick,we find human mind as unfathomably deep and emotions have more to it than meets the eye.
Lal Jose had made films from different backgrounds ,most of the Malayalis had take a follow up through all his films ...and what we find the execution of his film is different from the another.
Neena is totally a Lal Jose Urban tale,



CAST

Talking about the casting of the characters ...Deepthi Sathi who made her debut through this film is a sure shot winner and I think I am shocked by seeing a loud applause of an intro of the female protagonist than any other actor that too in her first film .. Deepthi had found her place safe to stay in the industry. Lal Jose had introduced many faces to Mollywood right from Kavya Madhavan,Samvritha Sunil,Meera Mandhan,Archana Kavi,Ann Augustine,Reenu Mathews,Anusree,...to Deepthi Sathi who had broke all perceptions of a normal heroine and it is proud moment for the film maker like to hold his collar red in this moment.Playing into the shoes of an unconventional woman ,a chronic alcoholic and smoker was the challenging part for the evil act performed by Deepthi
Another Lal Jose discovery towards Mollywood ...the veteran actor Late Augustine's daughter ,State Award Winner and now Cinematographer Jomon T Johns wife Ann Augustine well we  have never seen Ann in such a beautiful way as the frames have been handled by her loving husband the lights and shades the outfits she wore were made picture perfect. Ann's Nalini is one character which all married girls should look out for today as there were many egos and quarrels made through their lives by making a big sound in family courts. Nalini shows the power of a normal orthodox woman who took the situation faced in her life in a very sensible way so it is a moral page for any girl who takes her step in deciding things and making solutions and also by showering her power by giving love and care to the surroundings will reflect one day by understanding what she is and how it should be kept as nowadays in real life everything changes nothing stays concrete 

When landing on the hero part ...Vijay Babu took the character Vinay Panikker in such a realistic way that the subtle and claps for Vijay for keeping the character as intensity and intrigue one especially in theinterval part which we saw Vijay giving a stunning performance as we see him not buckled on a film location but he lives up with Vinay Panikker.
Well the rest casting has given their parts well if it is Lena,Vinu Mohan,Chemban Vinod Jose or the surprise cameo of directer Martin Prakkat in an interesting role was happy to watch out ..
A family drama with all relationships essence painted in true colors make the normal viewer to hit back to watch out the film.

SCRIPT AND DIRECTION 
This is lyricist Venugopal Nair's first movie as scenarist and to the edge he had really digged gold for portraying the actual happenings that takes place between a normal family and that too without adding more taboos was the brilliant movement in execution such  a film in  a very decent way.Nowadays rarely films make u sit back and makes impact and makes us asking questions or discussing on each scenes why,how and which made happen and totally it is Lal Jose's bravest films he had ever made.When he produced many village filmed backgrounds and some films settled in other backgrounds many maniacs had sticked the maker thought that he would break the shell one day and today when taking a rewind on his films...from where he began  and where he is now standing by giving a stylish movie of love and thrills on ur seats..A film maker should taste all his films through different genres but it is rare to see such directer as we count we can find Mani Ratnam,Vidhu Vinod Chopra,Padmarajan, etc..but now it is time to announce LJ's name as he had not only directed this flick but had also produced this motion picture with sincere manner without giving any disappointments to his followers.

TECHNICAL PARTS
Setting the locations St Petersberg to Kochi  does not shake your eyebrows but when it comes from Jomon T John's frames there are certain to watch out with the lights,night colors,city lights,exotic landscapes or the frame ideas innovated in adding the beauty towards the over all materialization.Ranjan Abraham's Cuts are very fine and accurate ones that didn't spoil the flow of narration.Relationships are the movies essence and that has been highlighted by the characters bgm scores and Bijibal had given a very decent score which takes us to some other levels.The debutant Nikhil J Menon's music department had proved the language has no barriers whether we hear the English song or Malayalam Song this had reflected the city trends and mix of languages reflecting a flux and intermingling of cultures .
Neena on the whole is all about human relationships and the portrayal of relationships felt honest to the core.So many scenes seems to be looked as it is been ripped from the real life incidents. Lal Jose and the scribe Venugopal has looked at certain man -woman relationships that defies definitions and the story unravels trying to slot and the mess and given them a defined boundary while stressing that passion is a complicated thing .Viewers can feel divided about the kind of impact such a movie may bring upon many may find the second half the kind of dull with the addictions of Neena being focused on. Neena leaves a lot of questions unanswered,but then it tries to take a slice out of life shorn of gloss.
Neena is not the kind of film that you would come across everyday.It has the stamp of the directer who is in charge.The Laljose movie takes its own time to unfold and there are some avoidable digressions and characters.But it is an ode to emotions,it denies nothing and takes no sides and is not preachy.Neena drives home the fact that human emotions are complicated and man woman relationships can't easily be given definitions.A fall from the summit and an ascent from the nadir are equal possibilities in an individual's life.Concluding my words by noting that Neena might not be everyone's cup of tea but it slightly takes hold of the discerning viewer ends up leaving a lump in the throat.

A KEYHOLE DRILLED ON THE FILM MAKER'S DIARY

We had got amused and wonderstuck with his films based on versatile plots ,backgrounds ,cultures,genres etc... His fantastic vision ,philosophy & screenplay and translating it on the screen in all the grandeur and fitenesse it deserved on the creations. For every man who love cinema and dream a thing to present the piece of art in visual form all have one title in their minds...
A MANI RATNAM FILM ......
We always proudly call him as Speilberg of the South....Through his films we still didnt forget the ecstatic beauty of rains,running trains,city lights,long skirts,candles etc...

I had started watching his movies at my childhood days itself and I would like to mention some movies that took me to be a maniac of this legacy.
1. UNARU

The movie which shows the current issue in may human beings survivals with the problems that take place in the form of trade union .Mohanlal who had acted in the movie was not the superstar at those times but in this movie he had proved his stardom with a bunch of stars in this Malayalam flick which is scripted by T Damodaran sir .Although the movie had any huge run in box office,the movie was a noticeable due to the content value that was executed by the makers

2. MOUNARAGAM

The movie which evolves around the bondage of a couple whom gets into the mazes of arranged marriage and tends to get split by divorce and the attraction that takes place when they are told to live together in which the time was given for their split too.

Mohan and Revathy had given their chemistry in a very effective manner which gives the magnetic bondage of the roles Chandrakumar and Divya .Karthik has given a wonderful special appearance which all girls at those times whud love to see the romantic portions which would take place in their lives.Ilayaraja's backround and music score was the backbone in falling in love with this movie.The term LOVE AFTER MARRIAGE was well executed in this movie..For all those who love and get to the terms of marriage this movie is a sure shot to watch ..still the cult is being followed as a prefect example for all who runs through the aspects of arranged marriage

3.NAYAGAN

W hen the legends join together we expect for bigger quality and that was happened in this iconic cinema. Kamalhaasan has bagged  National Award for the character Velu Nayakan which went epic and later created history in one of the strongest characters made in Indian Cinema.Although the movie has taken the shades of the American film The God Father,Ratnam has used the inspiration in the desi style.Many principal productions had taken place and for the characters a vast mode of preparations taken by Hassan himself ,a whooping price was used for the stunt sequences at those times which was the entertaining factor in this Mani Ratnam film.The collaboration of PC Srirams frames and heart melting background score of Ilayarajas bgm score was the strong factors that takes you hard to erase the movie.

While bagging the National Awards the movie has got India's official submission towards the Academy Awards for the foreign film category which was the proud moment for the makers of the film.There will be no wonders why this movie is listed on Indias top 20 greatest films.When you cast the Ulaganayagan in such a role ...no doubts the performance in him is guaranteed to strike gold from the mills.

4.ANJALI

Ratnam had jumped for different plots and treatements and this film was one movie for all who gets to love what innocent love is and the world of kids is.The movie had a strong message and a well drafted script towards the end.And while taking a look on the casting part,hats off towards the directer no wonder why this maker had been titled as speilberg of the South.Through this movie we all intend to see what is the effective part in re-recording Ilayaraja has given the brilliant job especially in the background score part which was his 500 th movie ...A simple plot of a mentally disabled dying kid and the trauma which was emotional experienced by the family ,this itself takes a normal viewer to chase the movie print and take a pop corn for watching ..

The bankable child artist at those times Baby Shyamili ,Master Tharun and shruthi had given their parts for a minute we may forget these kids had executed their roles in their early ages itself not even a superstar can give such profitable effort in their performances effectively.Bagging the National Awards for their performances and also the audiography part in which the sound effects was well designed in this particular movie needs a special mention.Revathy after Mouna Ragam had given another notable performance with the yester actor Raghuvaran who played the male lead who had played negative roles at those times had given a very massive performance in this Ratnam flick along with the kids on the block. Madhu Ambat who has worked in many Malayalam flicks had given the mind blowing photography and had got a special mention from the critics.

5.DALAPATHY

When we talk about massive combo I think this would be the one such combo,from his Malayalam flick Unaru casting a bunch of actors with equal importance and not effecting the screenplay with all great techniques used.When we talk about this film one paragraph will not be enough for it.Here are the brand names SUPERSTAR RAJINIKANTH ,MALAYALAM SUPERSTAR MAMMMOOTY,MANI RATNAM,ILAYARAJA,SANTOSH SIVAN,ARAVIND SWAMY,SHOBHANA,GEETHA,SRIVIDHYA,AMRISH PURI,Is this enough for filling our abdomen ..well I think more than a motion picture this would be the called as extravaganza Casting the most bankable actor from our nation Rajinikanth in such a massive cinema and that too in not degrading his stardom and style in this Ratnam flick is also one mind blowing factor that we call as one more feather attached in the directors hat.We have seen him dancing ,fighting the baddies,playing comedies,singing romantics, but with all these things linked Ratnam brought the actor in Rajinikanth where we cant even erase the performance of the character Suriya from our hearts a loving friend, a warrior, a lover and more than a son with a admirable heart... how can the mass leave their emotions on the Superstar by crafting such a character just by giving a standing applause .When we come through the rest cat Mammooty has given the another phenomenon role with the trusting friend Devarajan and with all his mannerisms he had glued the emotions in which every person would love to stick on the character

A mega saga of all gun powders loaded in one shot that is what when we get through watching throughout this cinema.The entire theme is loosely based on the friendship that has been from Mahabharatha characters Karna and Duryodhana .Apart from the spectacular casting of the male leads the female characters played by Shobhana,Geetha,Bhanupriya and of course heart melting Srividhya had stealed the show totally especially in the song Chinna Thayakal ,there are so many materials that Mani had used for the symbolic representation especially the yellow shawl,rain ,shutter lights,candles,and of course the train sounds and all which takes you to the new wave of cinema. Santhosh Sivan who had came for frames in Ratnam had given a different perspective in his rapid action sequences and also the intro scene of the Superstar While talking about Ilayaraja which was the last collaboration with Mani Ratnam has delivered a masterpiece with the music as well as background sound track.The dance track Rakkama Kaiye song was amongst the songs listed in a BBC World Top Ten.


6.ROJA

The one such masterpiece which brought new dimension of love, terror & nation affection Mani Ratnam had made new branches that there are things which can execute a simple plot which went on terrorism and the exotic locations of Kashmir and the birth of new music was also a notable factor that we cant erase this film .Yes I am talking about none other than A.R.Rahman the debut he gave and the bgm scores of this film is still played Aravind Swamy who debuted in Ratnams Dalapathy had been in the male lead and the title character of Roja was played by Madhoo which was critically appreciated that took her to the last panel of National Awards later got to other actress which was later history

Santosh Sivan was the other name that will stick on to you after seeing the exotic locations of Kashmir and the lighting pattern who used towards the entire sequence had brought liveliness  in totality.The onscreen chemistry you see of the lead pair was one magnetic effect,I bet you wont pull off your attention by watching this love story which is told under the Indian terrorism backdrop.

7.BOMBAY

The controversies that happened in this Mani Ratnam movie was countless and this was the most troubleshoot film Ratnam had ever faced in shooting and the strong subject had resulted to tensions in screening this movie but the audience and the film buffs rushed o theaters fir seeing the magic spell crafted by the directer .Aravind Swamy and Bollywood siren Manisha Koirala were the leading pair in this political drama film that had shook the nation in totality.
The love story of a Hindu Man and Muslim girl and their journey that results in marriage and the trouble that cause between the two religions that has been executed in the capital city Bombay had made other chambers ban and re release the film in many major centres which had gained its attention in reverse

Manisha Koirala's Shaila Bhanu had achieved critical appreciation nation wise which resulted to Filmfare Awards and the usual Bollywood roles as heroine behind playing lady love had changed Koiralas stardom a new dimension As usual Mani Ratnams treatment long shawls ,rain,wind,sea shores,fire in the city,night lights in the city are the major factors that takes you back on the seats but above all the music score by A.R.Rahman was the major highlight and in result the soundtrack was being called the most selling movie album of all times especially the theme music had been used in many sections and the strong plot that created between the religious relations and religious riots had given the moral message which we given a stand ovation on the director for the craft he had used in entertaining the movie buffs but as a responsible citizen ,he had communicated the message in a very effective manner to the people. Rajeev Menons photography and Suresh Urs editing was another factor and the composition of frames used in the song Uyire is still refereed as the perfect example in shooting the song in a low light manner,

8.IRUVAR

Bringing back the Malayalam Superstar Mohanlal in a Mani Ratnam is a very intresting factor to hear but when it comes back when we see Lal playing the main lead character that too also on the shoes of the character by the former minister of Tamil Nadu MG Ramachandran and when it comes Lla playing lead in a Tamil movie then it will be a double treat for the Ratnam and Lal fans to delight in receiving the film.

Like Dalapathy,even Iruvar had bunch of characters..Prakash Raj,Revathy,Gauthami,Nasser,Tabu and the debut of the Miss World Aishwarya Rai The movie was also referred to the ancient Indian politics and the friendship tale of MGR & Karunanidhi which had created questions and confusions towards the state .Ratnam again had invited a bunch of controversies but this time in the Indian politics and above the music played by A R Rahman  the strong bondage were the dialogues written on each scene was splendid in all senses and when the camera work was handled by the multi time National Award Winner Santosh Sivan,there will be no need in explaining what the frames looked alike.Keeping the new avatar Mohanlal had played that above all the stardom and once again he proved that he is one of the greatest actor we have on our nation In competition with Lal, Prakash Raj was one such actor in portraying Karunanidhi's role and in looking in such a avatar Prakash raj had bagged his first National Award for Supporting role to his showcases. Iruvar is an engaging and brilliant film taken on an actor's life ..the struggle between his morality and immorality which deviated from his stardom to politics. Above all this movie had a strong cult followed as a true Mani Ratnam maniac and this movie had strong message for all who are not known the history that took behind Indian Politics.

9.DIL SE...

The first Hindi film of Mani Ratnam film with the King Khan playing the main lead ....Music by A R Rahman.....Frames by Santosh Sivan ...After Bombay Mnisha Koirala is again bagging the heroine role ...these words are far enough in not lookin or cross checking the films other draw backs.But the movie had made a strong making and as the usual magic ,this movie had burned through the controversies which played in our nation's dirty politics.Shah Rukh Khan with his usual lover boy image had made a new impact in playing the Programme Executive of  All India Radio Amar Varma and the dialogue delivery has been put a change in presentations while coming to the direction part of Ratnam.

Manisha Koirala has given the very serious role of Meghana with all the emotions it was handled in very carefully ,while talking about the other cast this was the debut of Priety Zinta playing a small role opposite SRK .Coming to the cinematography it requires a special mention Santhosh Sivan again waved the magicals towards the frames the natural lights applied in different times especially when it was shot in the regions of Ladakh,Bhutan,Himachal,Assam.Kashmir and Kerala The symbolic representation of the poetic love that has taken place between the people of different regions was well presented by the directer and the light shades applied by the cinematographer was outstanding one especially in the songs a new wave of parallel innovation was applied in all sections of the film .For the opening song Chaiyya Chaiyya extra distance of Akela cranes were used for establishing beauty of the train sequence and when we come across the music department there is none other to express marks for the Rahmanism in Mani Ratnam film.Bagging all awards for the most sections had brought a serious watch for this film ...especially who love cinematography makes a perfect example of composing frames a look watch diary on the frames of Santhosh Sivan where he got the National Award All together the movie is a picture perfect ode to love .

10.ALAIPAYUTHEY

Taking the serious approached films of Dalapathy,Roja,Bombay,Iruvar,Dil Se, Ratnam had returned to the place where he began his journey yes...the romantic films mainly based on human relationships and this time he had bounced back on the term marriage of new ages and their view point on the term lova and marriage when it is being faced on the shoes.Madhavan another new kid from Ratnams block had started his career in this Ratnam magic and those who love seeing the smart Madhavan will never forget this stunnng debut of Madhavan we always love Ratnam heroes whether it is a romantic one, a serious fighter,a historic one Ratnam paints the outline in his own version .Madhavan was the one such example and Shalini who came back from the childhood films she acted has given a beautiful performance of Shakthi Presenting a on screen chemistry is a different task well when it comes for a Mani Ratnam ecstatic beauty is being attached all over.

PC Sriram who cranked camera for Mouna Ragam,Agni Naksathram,Nayagan,Geethanjali is back on the Ratnam apartment with keeping all eye catching frames...the new version of presentation of love with all colours applied train sequences,rain in the city,blue sky Ratnam had started using Sreekar Prasad through this film as the editor with the markable fine cuts which gave the quality towards the screenplay executed.Rahman had applied the colour theory towards the song Pachai Nairame where it was brilliantly shot in all shades of  beauty and when we take the Rahman magic he bounced back with all the young hearts personal favorites whether it is fast paced number or a melody one a dart thrown on bulls eye.The movie is considered for the realistic eye opener portrayal for marriage life  and love  .

11. KANNATHIL MUTHAMITTAL

This is one such drama film that takes towards the tides of motherhood and its basic principles of a kid's emotions. Ratnam had crossed such emotions on Anjali with the child character playing the main lead.Ratnam casted Madhavan as his male lead while Simran was the other female lead in this film.The central character Keerthana who was actor Parthibhan's daughter had given a massive performance towards the film. Ratnam had used Ravi K Chandran as the man behind the frames with the wide landscape he used for portraying the Srilankan Civilian War.The cuts of Sreekar Prasad was another important factor of this Mani Ratnam film.The other lead cast for Nandita Das,JD Chakravarthy,Pasupathy & Prakashraj are the special mention ones 

The national theme which connects the Motherhood and the brutal moments that takes place between the child who goes in search of her biological mother was the main opening for the movie which had the music score of Ratnam's own AR Rahman and the song Vellai Pookal had crossed millions which had awakened the love towards ones own nation .Bagging the entire national awards especially for the Best tamil film ,Best Music Best Editing had made every viewer gets transformation towards motherhood  after watching this flick.

12. OK KANMANI

When talking about this latest flick,from the beginning you will shock onto the seats... when we watch Mani 's movies a black drop screen white letters with a red underline will strike our minds... but in this one Ratnam had changed the entire usual settings with a graphic representation and a fast paced soundtrack of the metal sounded music by the legend AR Rahman and Ratnam had again paced his best of his romantic films after Alaipayuthey with taking the PC Sriram for cranking the camera Sreekar Prasad for the cuts the usual rain...train sequences,city lights,those who love Ratnam with Rahman magic will definitely love what this Kanmanis has designed in offering nothing than the new tale of urban romance that is being situated in Mumbai .Dulquer Salman & Nithya Menon were the Kanmanis in this flick which they have stylished with their live performances...alike all Mani Ratnams lead pairs whether it will Kamalhaasan,Karthik,Aravind Swamy,Madhavan, DQ had broke all the fractions with his innovations by giving new sound of stardom Such a cool and neat performance makes all the young hearts fall for him by the character Aadhi and talking about Nithya ,she was the eye candy for all guys n gals and when it comes with the PC Srirams frames there will be no words found for expressing the beauty of hers.

Rtanam had brought many elements back to the youth The royal Enfield bike,The Maruthi Gypsy which was every guys style factor of 90s makes you go topst turvey when we see the elements back on screens.Apart from DQ and Nithya,Prakash Raj and Leela had givena terrific chemistry a sthe on screen husband and wife...the movie was an eye opener for the todays young generation for the perspective towards the commitment on the word marriage and the live in relationship that takes place between our surroundings and also the relation that takes in social media networks which broke hearts with temporary attitude that takes place in today's youth .The movie gives a social message with hilarious presentation of flowing the tradition of marriage rather than running for lives with the basic cliche words that every human being runs through life and career .anyways this movie will be a sure shot for every youth and every individual in making their life systematic and committed towards themselves.

These are my visions on the keyhole I took for making drills on the film makers diary. This version of mine on the maker might not be as engaging for some people who's looking for pure entertainment films of the maker.but for someone who keenly observes and turn his brains fall topsy turvy.This one will satisfy and make a clear view of his signatures he scribbled on his brilliant films.For me this is a short description of the masterpiece  who had given the boarding pass for enjoying the journey of realistic films with entertainment that is being stitched in its terms.Ending my notes with all rest and multiplied admiration towards this phenomenal genius our nation got gifted.Expecting more films from this legend that will engage all the mankind.

THE DHANUSH WEEKEND

Actually I never watch a star's movie within 2 days but this tyme thought of shuffling the idea,a star should have a style and when it becomes from the veins of the Super Star's son in law then we dont need to push our ideas of watching his movies...Yes ...beyond your guesses it is none other than the National Award Winner Dhanush ...!!!!!

This weekend I was looking forward to watch two of his movies one from the South and the other one destination takes from Bollywood,the kingdom of Indian Cinema..ANEGAN and SHAMTABH are the movies that has come into kick the screens for the weekend.


Talking about the first movie Anegan is always proved from a pure camp of the cinematographer-directer K.V.Anand cliche way of narration but it had a huge area of entertaining the paisa vasool factor on masses .Though his last movie Maatran had made his viwers into a depression ,this time he is back with a bang ...not a BIG bang like Ko or Ayan but a saving mode for his stand in his role in the hats of a film maker.The opening shot of the movie started with the jaw dropping visuals of Burma which make every single person to schedule his holiday on the location once.Now talking about the performances it all DHANUSH everywhere as the title indicates a single person with multiple get ups .The screenplay done from the pens of Subha has its own flaws and deviations ,this time when it passes on a genre of a romantic thriller ,then this movie can be engaging one...When more commercial films recycles the usual plot and breaks the expectations without its tropes,the enterprising manner that K.V.Anand took for striving to narrate a banal plot were filled in deja vu and cliches. Amyra Dastur, the opposite pair of Dhanush had an effective debut portraying the same title with multiple appearances ,in some scenes she just had to look bubbly and go ooh lalalala feel in some scene breaks but yet she had done justice as a North Indian in giving proper syncs in delivering Tamil dialogues.Well the exact show stealer was the Navarasa Nayagan Karthik who has come all the way in a stellar performance ,he had delivered by giving simple romantic one liners which captures millions but the avatar changes ...dats the key word to make you book the tickets for the film ..Harris Jayaraj and Om Prakash are the other crew which we should talk about ,especially the BGM scores in certain sequences were really engaging ones,as the songs had a existance of hardly 3 months the kuthu song was the one which make you get from your seats and make you shake the legs even if you don't know how to.As for me this movie had all entertaining factors that will put you into a fast paced rollicking adventure with its gripping till the very end but it also has own questions that can be asked by the viewers

And coming onto the next one,this time take a push on the mass factor you experienced with the Southie when it comes into the other boundary Shamitabh is the one that brings a show down of a mute actor's struggle towards the passion of becoming a Super Star .Well we had seen movies with the plot of ups,downs,struggles,pains that takes place in the world of Indian Cinema beyond the colorfulness of its glamour that has been showcased all the tymes. R.Balki who had given films like Cheeni Kum and Paa that had stole the viewers attention ,this time he had come forward with the different theme by casting two National Award Winners in the lead as per the name SHAMITABH the Sh factor takes the place of silence and the rest AMITABH of the other ones name well the innovative thought brings you to watch the movie but the directer had tried his level best to try the tradition factor he applied in his previous films ,the result gives the manics amiss in some particular portions the script here had its loose flaws .Although the two show stealers Dhanush and the legend Amitabh Bachchan had given the best of their performances when we find who can be the captain of the ship in giving performance ,the film.s weak storyline falters the entire film .But when we finish our words with the performances of SHAMITABH we will definitely talk about the star kids debut of Akshara Hassan who gave such a stunning performance that we will forget that it was her first movie .Although the dragging second half takes the steam off it was Akshara performance that kicks the yawns out in theatres .the elegant looks of her character was simply mind blowing full credit goes to Balki for extracting a superlative performance from this new comer.

Talking about the technical side of course it is another National Award's offering in throwing lights n shades through the shots with craft of none other than the great PC Sriram sir ..the third film he worked with Balki has many shots in indoor studios with the different lightening pattern he ever scrutinized in his previous outings.Well taking the music department it is Ilayaraja's 1000th film as the composer and when we see the scores it has its own oscillations in bringing emotions in many scenes.Especially in the child character played for Dhanush when his teacher tells him to act in front of the class times the score brings bemoan in yourselves.Above all the movie has many cameo appearances but it was Rekhaji's cameo that brings special attention in theatres All and all Shamitabh is absolutely out of the box and unusual plot that will appeal to the niche audiences ,if not the masses

MOVIE BOX_MILI

MILI.....A Rajesh Pillai Magic


Rajesh Pillai came into the limelight with Traffic , a film that set a new pattern and benchmark in Malayalam film industry. Though Hridayathil Sookshikaan is the first work from him, people and the industry more often relate the name of Rajesh Pillai to Traffic. But it took him another four years to come up with another film though the making time is just close to one year and he was busy with the Bollywood remake of Traffic.
Now coming to Mili , the film is a female oriented movie where Amala Paul appear as the title protagonist and Nivin Pauly supporting her as the male lead. About the movie, here we have a feel good film that makes us happy, sad and also makes us think. Yes, Mili is performance oriented film nicely scripted by editor Mahesh Narayanan.
The film focus on Mili ( Amala Paul) who is an introvert and everyone finds her character an odd one. Mili, the movie show us how she overcome her fears and rises to stand of her own. Couple of factors and people are responsible making Mili change.
The film begins on a slow note and gradually move forward settling in with an okay first half and picks up the momentum in the second half. The highlight of course is a thought provoking ending. But at the same time, the best and touching moments of the film is the portion where Mili share the screen with her father. The film had its share of little preaching towards the end but that is acceptable considering the overall storyline. Direction from Rajesh Pillai has been positive and for that the screenplay played a large part.
On the acting side, Nivin Pauly did the not so important role in the best possible way. All credits to Amala Paul for pulling up a special show totalling meeting the demands of the title character. Sai Kumar is another actor who made a lasting impression appearing as father of Mili. Ambika, Sija Rose, Sanusha, Praveena and Devi Ajith are also part of the cast who all did the roles they enacted in a convincing manner.The heart melting scene I felt personally was the conversation of Sai Kumar & Amala Paul on the way and also the climax speech by Amala which we all forget ourselves by giving huge claps in theatres.
Background score from Gopisundar and the songs were soothing for the ears. My personal picks are the Kanmani song (Gopi Sundar) and Meghamay number composed and sung by Shaan Rahman. Cinematography and cuts were on the brighter side. Mili is a motivational and appealing movie and I go with four out of five for the movie as my personal rating..... smile emoticon
